Why Never Hang Wedding Photos Above Bed?

Why shouldn’t wedding photos be placed beside the bed? The significance of decorating a bridal chamber extends beyond just newlyweds; it benefits the entire family, as they represent the future of the household, and their children will be the future of that future. This is still a narrow interpretation.

Bathroom doors should not face the wedding bed

Regarding the wedding bed, there are two main taboos to consider。 The first is avoiding heavy objects above it, known as “top pressure。” This includes pressure from beams, lights, air conditioners, and possibly other sources。 Being under physical or mental stress due to heavy pressure is never a pleasant experience。 The second taboo relates to the placement of the bathroom in relation to the wedding bed。 While having a bathroom close by may offer convenience, it brings numerous drawbacks such as humidity, stale air, odors, and bacteria。 Despite these disadvantages, bathrooms in bedrooms have become a popular trend。 If the bathroom door directly faces the bed, this is referred to as “negative energy affecting the bed。” According to ancient feng shui texts, “A bedroom with a visible toilet may lead to health issues。”

Avoid keeping thorny plants in the bridal room

Vases are common items in wedding rooms, but flowers come with their own set of issues。 While flowers add decorative beauty, they also bring pollen that can affect sleep and health。 Keeping too many flowers or placing pots near the bed is not advisable due to these risks。 Having 2-3 plants is generally acceptable。 Additionally, thorny flowers like roses or climbing roses are not recommended for a bridal room。 Moreover, mirrors in the bedroom should be stored away rather than left exposed。 The reasoning behind this is that “mirror” shares a phonetic resemblance with the Chinese word for “forbidden,” making it unsuitable for a wedding room。 While mirrors can be hidden, such as placing them inside a wardrobe or covering them with cloths when not in use。

Wedding photos should not face the bedroom door

As a memento of love for newlyweds, displaying wedding photos in the bridal chamber makes sense。 Smaller frames can be placed anywhere, but larger ones require careful consideration。 Placing heavy and large wedding photos near the bed is risky as they might fall。 Additionally, avoid hanging wedding photos on walls directly facing the bedroom door, as they would be exposed to “door energy。” The closer the alignment, the stronger the effect。 Privacy concerns are also a major factor, as wedding photos are private items。 Exposing them can lead to unwanted curiosity about other aspects of the room。 When deciding between wall paper or paint for the bridal chamber, opt for wall paper as it helps create a romantic and joyful atmosphere。 Avoid overly vibrant colors, as they may cause overstimulation。 Stick with lighter tones and neutral shades for a more comforting and long-lasting ambiance。
