According to the ancient Chinese text “The Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine,” a person with high cheekbones is believed to have a strong constitution, prone to argumentativeness and selfishness. Especially for women, having high cheekbones is considered disadvantageous in marriage. The text states:
“A woman with high cheekbones will quarrel with her husband,
And the man with a frowning brow will bring misfortune upon himself。 ”
These ancient observations suggest that individuals with specific facial features may exhibit certain personality traits or experiences in life。 In modern times, however, many people with high cheekbones or “frowning brows” do not necessarily display the behaviors described in these old texts。
Face reading is a traditional Chinese practice that has evolved over thousands of years。 It emphasizes the concept of “face reflects the heart,” meaning one’s facial features can reveal their inner qualities and potential destiny。
